Bruce Willis’ daughter shares a touching photo: ‘Really missing my papa today’

Following Bruce Willis’s dementia diagnosis, his family has been consistently expressing their unwavering support throughout his journey. His daughter has recently shared her sentiments, describing how she misses him as the impact of dementia persists.

Bruce Willis’ daughter Rumer Willis made a touching Instagram post after her father’s dementia diagnosis.

The star was diagnosed with aphasia in Spring 2022 and in early 2023, his family shared that he was further diagnosed with dementia. In a statement, they wrote: “Bruce has always found joy in life – and has helped everyone he knows to do the same. It has meant the world to see that sense of care echoed back to him and to all of us.”

He was specifically diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia which can alter a person’s behaviour and personality. His daughter wrote in a caption: “Really missing my papa today.”

Rumer’s post featured a sweet throwback picture of Bruce, shirtless, holding Rumer as a baby. She was dressed in a pretty white sundress with a matching headband in her hair. One person in the comments wrote: “I cannot even imagine. My heart & prayers go out to you. I’m also sending you a sincere tight hug. Blessings to you.”

Tallulah, Bruce’s other daughter, also expressed her sentiments through a similar heartfelt post. She captioned her post with, “Damn, these photos are hitting tonight. You’re my whole damn heart, and I’m so proud to be your Tallulah Belle, Bruce Willis.”

In a recent post on Instagram, she shared a series of photos that are close to her heart.

The first shows her sitting with her dad in a big chair, holding hands, and a later one shows them standing side by side in a driveway.

She shared a collection of old photos, including one where she sat on her father’s lap. In this particular snapshot, both were casually dressed—Bruce in jean trousers and a black zip-up jumper, while Tallulah sported jean overalls with a collared shirt. Another photo showcased her license, subtly referencing her name and offering a sweet homage to her father.

“Seeing my father hold my daughter today was something I will treasure for the rest of my life,” Rumer wrote in the caption. “His sweetness and love for her was so pure and beautiful.”

She continued, “Papa I’m so lucky to have you and so is Lou. Thank you for being the silliest, most loving, coolest Daddio a girl could ask for. Best Girl Dad in the game….”

His wife Emma Willis has also been open about how this affected her. She wrote in Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper: “When I’m able to get out for a hike to clear my head, it’s not lost on me that not all care partners can do that. When what I share about our family’s journey gets press attention, I know that there are many thousands of untold, unheard stories, each of them deserving of compassion and concern.”

Amid these emotional post, Bruce was recently seen out and about on a rare public sighting. In Los Angeles, he was seen keeping a low profile in a black hoodie, riding in a vehicle.
