As a devoted parent, there is no limit to what you would do for your child. No task is too daunting, no cause too insignificant, and no mountain too high to climb. The reason being, you never want your little ones to feel scared, sad, or alone.
One such loving father is Ben Sowards, hailing from Utah, USA. When his 6-year-old daughter, Valeria, called him one day from school after having a minor accident, he knew he had to rush to her aid immediately. Although the incident wasn’t life-threatening, Ben was well aware of how embarrassed his little girl must have felt after wetting her pants.
Before heading out to pick her up, Ben came up with an idea. He believed that there had to be something he could do to alleviate the situation and make it less distressing for his daughter. So he decided to use humor to make her laugh instead.
According to the Huffington Post, Ben poured water on his own pants before getting into the car and driving to the school. When he arrived, he asked Valerie if he could borrow her school bag as he needed to ‘hide’ something. Initially, Valerie couldn’t understand what her dad was up to, but then she noticed the massive wet stain on his crotch.
As soon as Valeria saw that her dad was in the ‘same’ predicament, things were okay. “Honestly, I knew she was mortified, but I thought if I could make her laugh everything would be fine,” Sowards said. “She was totally exasperated.
But, once she saw my pants, I got that look from her where I knew everything was OK. All dads know what look I’m talking about. And we just strolled out of the school like nothing was happening.”
