On Monday, Becca Kufrin, former “Bachelorette” star, and her fiancé Thomas Jacobs, made a joint announcement on Instagram, sharing the arrival of their son, Benson Lee Jacobs Kufrin.
“Benson Lee Jacobs Kufrin cracked our hearts wide open on September 21, 2023,” they captioned a series of photos in their post. “No amount of words can begin to capture the amount of love and awe we have over this tiny man.”
“We are forever changed with this one’s abundance and can’t believe we are parents to this gift,” they continued in their post, sharing the significance behind their baby’s name.
Kufrin explained that they chose “Benson” in honor of the town where her father was born and raised, while “Lee” pays tribute to Jacobs’ father, who has made significant sacrifices for his country and others.
Regarding their son’s last name, they opted for “Jacobs Kufrin” because they wanted their child to carry both aspects of their heritage, making him complete.
The post featured a heartwarming photo of Kufrin cradling her son in her arms with Jacobs smiling at her. Additionally, they shared an image of Benson’s tiny hand against a sign detailing his birth information, revealing that he was born at 7:45 am on September 21st and weighed 8 lbs.
Kufrin and Jacobs first shared the news of their pregnancy back in April, revealing it through a video montage posted on Instagram, where they expressed their anticipation, saying, “We can’t wait to meet you.”
The couple’s journey began when they met on season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.” In May 2022, Kufrin took the initiative to propose to Jacobs, joyfully sharing the news on Instagram with the caption, “HE SAID YES!”
