The arrival of their first child has brought immense joy to Jana Kramer, the host of The Whine Down podcast and author of the national best-seller The Next Chapter: Making Peace with Hard Memories, Finding Hope All Around Me, and Clearing Space for Good Things to Come, along with her fiancé Allan Russell. A representative for the couple has confirmed to PEOPLE that the 39-year-old Kramer and Russell welcomed their son, Roman James Russell, on Monday, Nov. 13, with a birth weight of 6 lbs., 1 oz.
Expressing their overwhelming happiness, the couple stated, “Allan and I are both overjoyed and truly grateful to announce the birth of our son, Roman James Russell. We feel blessed to have been given the chance to create something so special together.” They went on to share that the name Roman was chosen simply because they both love its strength, while James, the middle name, pays homage to both of their Grandpas.
The country singer is already a mother to her 4-year-old son Jace and 7-year-old daughter Jolie, both of whom she shares with her ex-husband Mike Caussin.
Kramer contemplated the imminent arrival of her newest family member as November began, preparing for the upcoming changes.
“November. I can’t believe THE month is already here. Feels like it was just end of march when we found out about 👶🏼 and now the big month is finally here,” she expressed.
Having previously mentioned a due date of December 2 for her baby, the singer clarified that she would be undergoing a C-section earlier due to a “growing fibroid.”
In the previous month, the country star and podcaster delightedly shared several photos on her Instagram, marking the celebration of embracing motherhood for the third time with her friends. Kramer beamed, cradling her baby bump with both hands, in the company of five close friends, including Julie, wife of actor Johnathon Schaech, Kristen, wife of LOCASH’s Preston Brust, and Sara, wife of country singer Lee Brice.
She provided a sneak peek of the outdoor venue, capturing moments of a cheese platter she savored and a serene view of the campfire. Expressing her gratitude, the musician conveyed, “I’m beyond blessed for these girls. I told them I didn’t want this big shower…I just wanted cozies and my queendom for one night…and it was perfect.”
Describing the gathering, she elaborated on the picturesque sunset, the warmth of laughter around the fireplace, heartfelt prayers for the incoming baby, and the coziness of a sleepover. She remarked, “It was perfection. Little guy is so lucky to have these aunties and I’m forever blessed to have their love. Thank you girls for everything.”
